By combining his passion for real estate with three decades of experience in marketing and business management consulting, Thomas Downing has forged a successful career as a broker with @properties. Serving high-net-worth individuals and first-time buyers and sellers in Chicago, the North Shore and the northwest suburbs, Downing and his team of top-tier professionals strive to earn their clients’ trust and present them with a seamless experience. “This year, we crossed the $50 million sales mark,” explains Downing. “While these numbers indicate how hard we work, I am prouder of the fact that we scored 100 percent in client satisfaction.”
Prior to earning his real estate license six years ago, Downing was the founder and managing partner of The Turning Point Group, helping Fortune 400 companies develop and execute business strategies designed to retain clients through improved customer service.
Downing recently onboarded new team members, enabling a divide-and-conquer approach to solving problems, with each member contributing their unique expertise. “Clients appreciate our market knowledge and love for what we do,” says Downing. “It’s our honest passion for our clients’ real estate success that drives our business.”
A member of the National Association of Realtors, Illinois Association of Realtors, Chicago Association of Realtors and North Shore-Barrington Association of Realtors, Downing is also a verified member of the Top Agent Network. He has earned designations including Certified Residential Specialist, Accredited Buyer’s Representative, and Graduate, Realtor Institute and has completed the e-Pro and Ninja Selling trainings.
Downing was named Rookie of the Year in Chicago Agent magazine’s Agents’ Choice Awards in 2016, and both the Chicago Association of Realtors and @properties ranked him as a top producer in 2017 and 2018. He has also earned @properties’ Outstanding Achievement Award for two years in a row.
Downing is a world traveler and recently visited his 68th country. When he’s not working or jet-setting around the globe, he participates in triathlons, explores Chicago’s food scene and pals around with his two Westies.
