A longtime top producer, Stefanie Lavelle brings her artistic background and 17 years of experience to her work. As a former interior designer with a top architectural firm in Chicago, as well as having extensive photography training, Lavelle helps every buyer envision their home’s potential. “Real estate is truly my greatest love outside of my family and friends,” says Lavelle, explaining that her father, in commercial real estate himself, inspired her career change. “After Sept. 11, the architecture firm I worked for downsized and I found myself searching for a new position. He suggested I get my real estate license. Once I did, I happened to get an amazing opportunity to work for a major developer. I’ve never looked back!”
Working with a mix of buyers, sellers and investors in and around Chicago — 90 percent of whom are referrals — the owner of The Lavelle Group at @properties prides herself on her willingness to nurture positive and productive relationships with every client. “I truly care about each of my clients and advise them in making decisions as if it were a decision I was making about my own life,” Lavelle says.
In 2018, Lavelle had her best year yet, surpassing her previous record of $24 million all while raising three children under the age of 8. “Hitting $30 million this year was a huge accomplishment for me,” she says. “I have been better about picking up the phone and checking in and reminding clients that I want to help them in any way I can.”
Lavelle is a Real Estate Negotiation Expert, and during the past year, she received the Chicago Association of Realtors’ Bronze Award, in addition to continuing her streak of being ranked among the association’s top 1 percent of producers.
Lavelle regularly volunteers in her community and is slated to become the vice president of a local cooperative preschool. She is also on the board of Friends of Lincoln and volunteers as a room parent in one of her children’s classes. “All of my time outside of work is spent with the loves of my life: my husband, three children, and our sweet little dog, Dublin,” she says.
