Sam Shaffer, Managing Broker and Owner

Chicago Properties

Though he has nearly two decades of experience in the real estate industry under his belt and more than 400 five-star reviews on Zillow, Sam Shaffer continues to learn, grow and better himself every day. Shaffer, the managing broker and owner of Chicago Properties, serves buyers and sellers in Chicago and the North Shore market, operating with integrity and transparency regardless of his client’s budget and priorities.

“I will always go the extra mile for my clients,” he says, adding that he prides himself on delivering white-glove service. “I’m very confident that I’ll not only do the best job for my clients but also operate with humility and humbleness.”

Earning his real estate license 17 years ago after working as a recreation director at the Jewish Community Center, Shaffer translates the same interpersonal skills and enthusiastic “do-gooder” mentality that made him a star summer camp director and sports coach into his current role as a broker. “Being in real estate means being able to get up every day knowing that I have the ability to create anything that my heart desires,” he says.

The Chicago Association of Realtors recently recognized Shaffer for closing $70 million in sales in 2018. During that same period, he was able to raise more than $15,000 for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, continuing his long-term commitment to the cause. “The biggest key to growing my business has been working with like-minded people who embody the same work ethic and drive as I have,” says Shaffer. “My team and I are a family and constantly lift each other up and collaborate in order to improve, grow and never settle.”

Lauded for his efficiency, intuitive nature and proactive approach, Shaffer is known for instilling a sense of calm and confidence in his clients and easing their minds during the most stressful of situations.

Shaffer is a member of the Chicago Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. As a passionate CrossFitter, Shaffer works to maintain his physical and mental health so he can best care for his family and clients.
