Patti Michels & Chase Michels, Broker Associates

Baird & Warner

Finding the perfect place for a client to call home in the western suburbs makes Patti Michels very happy.

And since teaming up with her son Chase in 2016, she feels like they bring something unique to clients: a generational combination that helps them relate to many different buyers and sellers. “We have been told by many clients that the reason they hired us was because of the 22 years of experience I have, combined with the technology and marketing skills Chase has,” Patti says. “Communicating with our clients and guiding them through the process is what we do best.”

Always proceeding with the client’s best interests in mind, Patti and Chase have strong relationships with experts to help get buyers and sellers to the closing table quickly. “From attorneys to lenders to inspectors, it takes more than an agent to buy and sell in today’s market, and we can offer that service,” Patti says. Demonstrating perseverance, integrity, honesty and a high level of customer service, they believe in doing business the right way.

Among the top 1 percent of all Baird & Warner brokers, Patti and Chase are consistently at the head of the pack in their office and in DuPage County. Focused on becoming the primary luxury sellers in the Downers Grove market, the duo does 80 percent of its business with sellers and has sold more than $120 million in the town throughout their careers. Determined to position listings in the best possible light, Patti and Chase work hard to create the perfect online presence for homes, because that is where most buyers begin their search. “We have really embraced working in the luxury market and applying our marketing techniques to focus on that,” they say.

Before real estate, Patti had a successful, 10-year career at a Fortune 500 company. Chase started out in commercial real estate after earning a degree from the University of Illinois. Today the mother-son team is right where it should be.

Patti and Chase are big golfers and also like to spend time with Brecken, their 2-year-old granddaughter and niece, respectively.
