Innovative and tenacious, Erica Conaty Goldman offers a new approach to residential real estate, executing every transaction with a creative mind and a focus on perfection. As a broker associate with Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty, Goldman serves a variety of clients in and around Chicago, including the North Shore and the city’s surrounding suburbs. “I don’t have a typical client,” she says, explaining that she works with everyone from first-time buyers to high-net-worth individuals who are adding to or selling off their real estate portfolios.
Goldman, the former vice president of marketing at NBCUniversal and publisher of Sophisticated Living magazine in Chicago, obtained her license four years ago. “My corporate background in marketing has allowed me to look at real estate with a different perspective than others who have been doing this for longer than myself,” she says. “I look at each listing as its own brand and develop my marketing strategy accordingly in an effort to get the best offer in the shortest amount of time.”
Growing her business through traditional on-the-ground promotion as well as social media tactics and Sotheby’s unique tools, Goldman actively utilizes the SIR Referral Network to expand her reach. “There’s no better credit to the work you do than to have brokers around the globe calling you to assist their clients,” she says.
In 2016, Sotheby’s named Goldman its Rookie of the Year. Two years later, she secured a $9 million listing, which was one of the sales that contributed to her ranking as the top producer in her company’s Winnetka office.
Goldman is a member of the Chicago Association of Realtors and an executive board member at Friends of Prentice. While committed to volunteer work and her role at Sotheby’s, Goldman is equally devoted to her family and constantly strives for a work-life balance. “It’s a never-ending battle, but I really do make a tremendous effort to prioritize my time,” she says.
