Gary Jacklin has worked in real estate for 30 years in the Chicago suburbs, and he continues to innovate. As managing broker/owner of RE/MAX Action, he’s been ranked No. 1 for internet marketing by RE/MAX Northern Illinois every year since 2003. Although Jacklin no longer lists and sells, he has been a top producer himself and understands what makes a successful top producer, and how agents can use technology to help them reach their goals. “Our RE/MAX Action agents continually compliment our staff, and the implementation of the leading-edge technology we provide and implement for them to help them service and grow their business,” he says.
One of Jacklin’s most rewarding achievements this past year was leading the creation and implementation of the RE/MAX Action Mastery & Accountability Program, which focuses on mastering the sales skills and the accountability needed for individuals to succeed. “RE/MAX Action has been the leader in technology, internet marketing, lead generation and technology support tools provided to our agents for decades, and now with the application of this enhanced and focused program, our agents are equipped to take their business to the next level,” he says.
His team also recently implemented an “Agent Concierge” philosophy for their Action agents, which analyzes and personalizes each agent’s administrative tasks. “Doing these tasks for them truly enables them to focus on service to their clients. They’re able to grow their transactions numbers to 50-plus without the need of a personal assistant. We help design and implement the systems they need to efficiently run and grow their business,” he says.
“I learned early in my professional life what it means to be self-employed and how to run a business,” he adds. “Self-employment does not mean that you don’t have a boss; it just means ‘self’ is your boss so you better learn quickly how to be a boss, motivate yourself and how to run a business. I’ve spent more than 40 years doing just that.”
Jacklin is a member of the National Association of Realtors, the Mainstreet Organization of Realtors, Illinois Realtors and the RE/MAX Hall of Fame. He also volunteers with the nonprofit Children’s Miracle Network.
