Christopher Norton has a talent for discovering hidden gems and snagging out-of-reach properties. As a principal/broker of the Norton Group with @properties, Norton works with investors, developers, buyers and sellers in both the residential and commercial markets, and specializes in Logan Square, Avondale, Bucktown, West Town, Wicker Park, West Loop and River North.
Coming from a background in finance and project management, Norton transitioned to real estate seven years ago in order to satisfy his desire to create more meaningful relationships with both his clients and his team. “I’ve always had a knack for giving back and being able to mentor others,” he says.
This past year, Norton represented a historic multi-family property that, at the time of sale, was the highest multi-family sale in the neighborhood. He also kicked off his commercial business division, helping a James Beard award-winning restaurant group with their new venture in Lincoln Park. “The ability to be creative and think outside the box has been very instrumental to my success,” he says, adding that he often sees a property’s potential when others are unable to do so.
Norton has been a Chicago Association of Realtors Top Producer since 2012, and is known for being quick to respond and providing individualized attention. “I always have my clients’ best interests at heart,” he says. He is a member of the Young Professionals Network and the National Association of Realtors, as well as a supporter of Big Brothers Big Sisters, Between Friends Chicago and @properties’ @gives back Community Fund.
Norton is an enthusiastic wine collector, indie music and film connoisseur, and University of Kentucky basketball fan. He also plays tennis in his free time.
