There are so many aspects of technology that have streamlined my work life in real estate that choosing one sales innovation that I cannot live without is tough! Communication is key and I love the functions of connectMLS and the ability to maintain “real time” communication with clients. Also, if I didn’t have my electronic calendar, I’d be much less efficient. I know some agents will shudder at this, but I can definitely do without a BlackBerry!

The Internet! Over 80 percent of today’s buyers are now utilizing the Internet to search for properties. Without access to the Internet the real estate market during this troubled time would be in a worse position than it already is. Over 50 percent of my business is now a result of my Web site. Only two years new and already averaging 50,000 hits per month. Even in today’s market the leads continue to roll in.

One sales innovation that I cannot live without would certainly be my PDA phone. Not only is it my lifeline, but it also enables me to be more organized, punctual and in constant communication with my clients. In addition to my phone, I also cannot live without my lap top. It is small and light enough to take everywhere I go.

I could not work as efficiently or effectively without my BlackBerry. I stay in direct contact with my sellers, buyers and prospects at all times, and I’m able to respond to them in a timely manner by their preferred method. If I need more information on a topic, Internet access is in my hands, and I don’t get lost on my way to appointments because driving directions are readily available. While I’m out conducting person-to-person marketing, I can also keep tabs on our company’s blogging and Internet marketing, the primary ways I’m reaching new prospects and creating new business.
