by Chicago Agent

Chicago-based Lucien Lagrange Architects (LLA) has promoted Tim Hill, James Kemper, Alfredo Marr and Heather Weed to principal. They join founder Lucien Lagrange and Wayne Miller, named co-managing principal in 2007, on the firm’s leadership team.

Hill, previously associate principal, has led many of LLA’s prominent projects over the past 14 years. Currently, he is overseeing Lincoln Park 2520 and 535 West End Avenue in New York. Hill earned a Bachelor of Science in architecture from Ohio State University and a Master of Architecture from University of Illinois at Chicago.

Promoted from associate, Kemper joined LLA in 2006 following 16 years at PSA-Dewberry. His recent projects include the Chicago Union Station expansion and X/O Condominiums. He attended Bradley University.

Marr, also promoted from associate principal, came to LLA in 2006 after 10 years at Teng & Associates. He is currently overseeing the design of mixed-use towers in Romania while managing Chicago projects, including a luxury condominium tower at Ten East Delaware. Marr earned a Bachelor of Architecture from University of Notre Dame and an MBA from Loyola University Chicago.

With LLA since 2005, Weed was promoted from associate principal as well. She previously worked with Skidmore, Owings and Merrill and Solomon Cordwell Buenz. Weed is now working on Chicago’s Ritz-Carlton Residences, 535 West End Avenue condominiums in New York and a mixed-use project in Milan. Weed holds a Bachelor of Arts from Barnard College/Columbia University, as well as a Master of Architecture from Columbia University.
