What was your first job in the realty industry?

In 1974 I started working for Bell Realty, a successful mid-size real estate firm.

Who inspires you?
Tom Hopkins, who was my first real estate trainer, inspired me and taught me the basic steps of success.

How did you learn the business?
I was blessed to have parents that had a passion for real estate. That passion was then passed on to me.

What was your most difficult sale, and how did you succeed?
Most transactions are difficult in today’s market. Staying focused and educated on market conditions and being compassionate is how I remain successful.

What was your worst job, and what did you learn from it?
The only other job I had aside from real estate was working in a bank and I loved it. I have never experienced a job I did not enjoy.

Where do you go to network and meet new clients?
I network every day with everyone I meet.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job?
In our current fragile market, talking to sellers who have to sell their home at a loss is the most difficult part of the job.

What has been your greatest accomplishment?
Being able to enjoy the work I do and receiving the highest award from RE/MAX, the “Circle of Legends Award.” As of 2007, only 72 individuals have received this award.

What is your favorite restaurant?
Joe’s Seafood Prime Steak and Stone Crab in Chicago

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Chicago?
I would have to say the Wrigley Building located on Michigan Avenue

What kind of car do you drive?
Porsche Cayenne

Blackberry and Palm

What is your favorite city after Chicago?
New York

Align yourself with a top producer’s team and become a team member
