What was your first job in the realty industry? I got my real estate license in 1997 and start working as a sales agent for Century 21.

Where did you grow up? Warsaw, Poland.

What is your favorite free-time activity? Spending time with my family, reading and gardening.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed? Take long power walks or bike, and listen to music.

If you weren’t an agent, what would you be? A salesperson for a big company.

If you could have lunch with a well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why? The singer James Blunt, because he seems like such a deep person.

Where is your favorite place to hang out? My backyard.

What do you love most about the industry? The unlimited potential of income and how I meet a lot of people.

How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents? I am self motivated, ambitious, and I always try to exceed the client’s expectations.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job? Long hours.

Where do you go to network and meet new clients? I prospect for sale by owner and canceled listings.

What has been your greatest accomplishment? When I was the No. 17 out of the top 20 agents in Northern Illinois.

What was the last good movie you saw or book you read? “Firefly Lane” by Kristin Hannah.

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Chicago? Trump International Hotel and Tower.

What is your favorite city after Chicago? Warsaw.

Smartphone or paper? Paper.

What kind of car do you drive? A BMW M3.

In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry? Work hard, and in your client’s best interests.
