A recent post by UrbanTurf writer Erin Calandriello revealed former Governor Rod Blagojevich reduced the asking price of his Ravenswood manor to $998,000.
The property, originally set at $1.07 million, was listed by Blagojevich’s wife Patty in October after a federal judge ordered the former governor to post it and his Washington, DC condo as collateral.
Blagojevich and his wife purchased the W. Sunnyside Ave. property for $505,000 in 1999 and have made extensive renovations since then. The 11-room, five-bedroom home has a large foyer, library, piano room, window-lined eating areas and a 2,200 square-foot basement with a gym. Outdoor spaces include a deck, porch and brick patio.
According to Redfin data cited by Calandriello, the median price of nearby five-bedroom properties is $529,900.
