Though 2024 was reported to have seen the lowest number of home sales nationally since 1995, solo agent Mike LeFevere had an impressive year, closing over $15 million in sales. The 13-year veteran of Chicago and North Shore real estate leveraged his expertise and relationships to navigate the challenging market — achieving a milestone he’s truly proud of in helping so many families find their new homes.
Moving was a constant in LeFevere’s early life — his family relocated 10 times before he reached 6th grade. “It became second nature,” he says. “That experience shaped my understanding of how meaningful it is to have a place that truly feels like home.” Later, he and his wife moved several times before choosing Winnetka as the community where they would raise their children. “I think those experiences give me a unique perspective and genuine empathy, which come through in the way I communicate with and advocate for my clients.”
Technology also plays a large part in LeFevere’s success. He uses COMPASS’s marketing center to design branded materials such as brochures, social media posts and email campaigns for his listings. He also makes use of AI-driven pricing tools and market insights.
LeFevere describes his business style as fun and easygoing while still being organized and process driven. “Real estate can and should be an enjoyable experience, so I keep things light and approachable. At the same time, I’m detail-oriented and methodical about managing timelines, paperwork and negotiations. That balance helps my clients stay informed and confident without feeling overwhelmed.”
Whether catching a game, trying a new restaurant or relaxing with loved ones, LeFevere makes the most of his time outside of work. He especially loves re-energizing and refreshing his perspective by traveling and exploring new places. At home, he is a fan of Chicago sports.
