After many years working within the advertising and marketing fields, broker Briana Brandt Murray of @properties Christie’s International Real Estate, decided it was time for a change. When moving back to her hometown of Hinsdale (and after having her first child), Murray delved into real estate, where she uses her firsthand knowledge of everything the western suburbs have to offer to best serve her clients. Whether it comes to recommending schools, philanthropic organizations, shopping hot spots or essential community resources, she thrives on being a guiding hand for her clients new to the area.
Prior to becoming a broker, Murray earned a master’s degree in advertising. She went on to work as an account executive for a Chicago-based advertising agency. This experience, she remarks, helped her to become an expert in client-customer relations and audience marketing. As she explains, “My master’s in advertising, partnered with my firsthand knowledge of the markets I serve, was what drove me and what continues to be my ‘secret sauce’.”
As a broker, Murray prides herself on her personable and professional style. In addition to being part of @properties Christie’s International Real Estate, she is also a member of the National Association of Realtors. In 2021, 40% of Murray’s transactions were repeat customers. “Those numbers show me people appreciate the care and loyalty I provide, and in return they provide the same,” she says. “I love meeting new people, talking with people and helping people.”
Currently, Murray also serves on the board of directors for Wellness House, a Hinsdale organization that provides, at no cost, support to cancer patients and survivors, as well as their families and friends. Having lost her mother to a rare cancer seven years ago, Murray considers it a cause close to her heart. To honor her mother, she explains, “I am dedicated to giving back to Wellness House and furthering their resources.”
When not serving clients or volunteering her time, Murray adores spending time with her husband, three children and her father, who recently beat cancer.
