RE/MAX Legends

Mimi Luna, Designated Managing Broker

Aminah Yassin, Broker

With the moniker “the first family of real estate,” mother-and-daughter duo Mimi Luna and Aminah Yassin lead the Luxe Group at RE/MAX Legends. Their ability to fuse in-depth real estate knowledge with technological savvy has been a primary driver of the group’s success. “Growing up in the era of technology and social media gives us a competitive edge,” Luna says. “Most of our clients come from referrals and our marketing on social media platforms.”

Luna, founder of the Luxe Group, began her career as a mortgage processor, became a real estate agent in 2014, and rose to managing broker and owner of RE/MAX Legends in 2019. Active in giving back to the industry, Luna sits on the board of directors for the Chicago chapter of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals and on the Global Real Estate Council Board at the Chicago Association of Realtors. “I am a social butterfly and genuinely love to meet new people and educate them on the importance of homeownership,” she says.

Yassin has enjoyed a banner year. In 2019, just one month after graduating from Illinois State University with a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences, she obtained her real estate license and joined her mother as part of the Luxe Group. “My parents have always been in real estate,” she says. “My father, Nick Yassin, is a seasoned veteran in the mortgage world, so our home life revolved around the industry.”

Luna and Yassin both fundraise for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to help end childhood cancer, a cause that hits close to home, as Mimi is a breast cancer survivor. Additionally, their office is a “Miracle” office, meaning it donates a portion of sales to the Children’s Miracle Network (CMN). RE/MAX Legends also hosts an annual charity event, Give Like a Legend, in honor of CMN Hospitals. Both Luna and Yassin are excited for what the future holds.
