Ground has broken on Embry, a 15-story luxury boutique condominium in the West Loop. The Chicago-based real estate developer Sulo Development is heading construction, with completion set for spring of 2023.
The Embry building was designed by the architectural firm Lamar Johnson Collaborative while its 58 residences were planned by Kara Mann Design. Column-free floor plans incorporate large private terraces, dens, offices and full-size laundry rooms. For residents, there are also amenity spaces which will include an indoor and outdoor fitness center, a lounge, a dog run, a spa and multiple landscaped terraces.
Located at 21 N. May Street, Embry is close to the bustling city life — yet maintains a tree-lined sense of privacy. The property will also feature a 24-hour door staff and a private garage. However, skyline views from the Embry will offer the true Chicago experience.
“Embry will be the first full-service, full-amenity building in the neighborhood and will boast unobstructed views in every direction,” says Mark Icuss of Compass. Icuss is one of the brokerage’s two sales and marketing representatives listing homes at Embry. “Buyers have been asking for this type of product for the last couple years, and Embry will deliver all of it.”
His Compass colleague Tim Sheahan added: “Coming off the success of Hayden, Sulo Development is once again delivering exactly what buyers in this market want.” Homes at Embry are exclusively listed by both Icuss and Sheahan.
Condos are available in three- and four-bedroom options, with sizes ranging between 3,400 and 3,700 square feet. Three-bedroom residences are currently priced starting at $2.3 million, and four-bedroom units start at $2.8 million. Pricing for Embry’s two penthouse residences is available upon request.
