by Emily Mack

Rebecca Thomson and Robert “Bob” Burns are both transitioning into new leadership roles within the Coldwell Banker network.

Thomson will serve as Coldwell Banker Realty’s national vice president of education. Previously, she was the regional vice president, Central West. A 20-year industry veteran, Thomson is also a past president of Chicago Association of REALTORS®.

In her new role, Thomson will oversee the success of Coldwell Banker Realty agents nationwide, developing coaching and other education initiatives. She has experience designing and implementing training programs, as well technology adoption.

Burns, meanwhile, will step into the regional vice president, Central West role. This marks Burns’ return to the region. Burns held the regional vice president position there previously before exiting in 2022 to become president of Coldwell Banker Bain, in the Northwest.

Now back, Burns will oversee agents in Chicago, the North Shore and Milwaukee areas. A 25-year industry veteran, Burns has 23 years of experience in senior leadership, specifically.

“We wish Rebecca the very best and know her proven track record and industry leadership will serve her well in this next chapter, and we’re thrilled to welcome Bob back to the region as the well-known and well-loved leader he is,” Ayoub Rabah, regional president for the Midwest and Texas, said in a press release.
