Helena Amarjargal, Realtor,  RE/MAX Top Performers

by Chicago Agent

Number of years in real estate:
Five years.

Describe your look:
I would say effortless, classic and business casual.

What do you consider a “fashion don’t”?
Don’t try to keep up with fast fashion and trends.

What style has come back into fashion that you think shouldn’t have?
Low-rise jeans, for sure.

What item of clothing gets you the most compliments?
A simple summer dress.

What is a fashion crime you have committed in the past?
Quite possibly every other outfit I wore during my high school years.

Where are your favorite clothing stores or brands?
When it comes to shopping, I like variety. I tend to look for items that are well made with good materials and a good fit, rather than a brand name.

What fashion accessory do you feel naked without?
I was gifted a simple, beautiful ring by my grandmother more than 15 years ago, and to this day I rarely ever take it off. The ring is engraved on the inside. It’s truly the most sentimental, priceless piece of jewelry I own.

Who is your style icon?
Princess Diana.

What decade or time period had the best fashion in your opinion?
In my opinion, ’90s minimalist, chic styles were best.

What’s the most expensive or meaningful accessory or piece of clothing you’ve ever acquired? Do you still have it?
The first-ever designer boots I bought myself with my hard-earned money. I immediately panicked and tried to return them as soon as I bought them. But yes, I still have them. Luckily, they never went out of style.

What item in your closet do you wear the most?
I stick to my blue jeans and white T-shirts.

Does your style reflect your personal brand? If so, how?
I like to purchase good-quality, capsule wardrobe items that are timeless. Like in my personal brand, I strive to build long-term, meaningful relationships with clients and colleagues. For me, it’s always quality over quantity.

What style advice would you give to others in the industry?
My best advice is to invest in versatile pieces you truly love and feel your most confident and comfortable in.

Dress: The Frankie Shop; jacket: Nordstrom; shoes: Amina Muaddi
