Priced at $30 million, Lake Geneva’s Aloha Lodge is the most expensive home for sale in Wisconsin — by a lot.

According to Milwaukee news outlet TMJ4, the highest recent home sale in Lake Geneva was for $18 million and, currently, the state’s next most expensive home is priced $6.25 million.

Aloha Lodge is nearly five times that price.

Located at W. 3120 S. Lakeshore Drive, it boasts 10 bedrooms, 16 bathrooms, a large guesthouse, a greenhouse and an infinity pool all on 12 acres of land. The massive lakeside estate was built in 1900 by Tracy Drake, developer of the famed Drake Hotel in Chicago, and his family summered at the historic house for more than 35 years.

However, the home underwent extensive renovations in 2011, and Brandie Malay Siavelis, of @properties Christies International Real Estate, discussed those updates with Chicago Agent. Malay Siavelis is overseeing the current sale.

“When [the owners] did the additions, they made bedroom corridors upstairs, so there’s three different sections: east, center and west. They did that intentionally so when they have company, everyone has the space,” Siavelis said. “So even though it’s all one house, it feels like there’s definite separation for privacy, especially when you’re entertaining for non-family.”

There are also two attached, free-standing suites that can be accessed without entering the main house.

“They really thought through the layout,” Malay Siavelis said, reflecting on how the old home was modernized. “There’s not a ton of iconic, historic properties. They’re being torn down, unfortunately, slowly but surely.”

It’s what makes the Aloha Lodge so rare. That, and the price tag.
