What was your most interesting job before going into real estate?
Confirming Brazilian waxes for women at a salon.

Where did you grow up?
Carol Stream.

Growing up, what did you want to be?
I had no idea but I knew I’d be running my own business and I’d be driving a nice car. I always pictured myself wearing a suit and closing deals.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?
Take the Ferrari for a drive or find a project around the house. I’m constantly updating something.

If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?
Anthony Bourdain – his passion for food is unmatched. I learned so much from him growing up.

What is Chicago’s best-kept secret?
Sawada Coffee.

What do you love most about the industry?
The ability to achieve as much success as I can imagine. My goals are bigger every year. I always have something to work towards.

How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents?
I work in several markets and am part-owner of a title company. I see real estate transactions on three coasts and get to see how the market changes across the country.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job?
Being a therapist.

What’s your best advice for generating new leads?
Network everywhere you go. When you go out for dinner, sit at the bar. Try to meet everyone everywhere.

What has been your greatest accomplishment?
Expanding across the country and being recognized as a top agent in multiple states.

What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to lately?
“Succession.”

What’s your favorite meal in Chicago?
A steak from Bavette’s.

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Chicago?
The Rookery.

What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job?
I walked in to a house that was supposed to be empty. Heard someone getting it on and when I apologized to the owner, he had no idea what I was talking about. Turns out the wife was cheating and I broke the news to him.

What’s one thing people are surprised to learn about you?
I used to live out of my car.

What is your favorite vacation spot and why?
Thailand. Everyone is so happy and friendly. The beaches are beautiful and the food is incredible.

Always be authentic. You’ll attract like-minded people.
