West Side of Chicago.

Growing up, what did you want to be?
An accountant.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?
Listen to music and walk.

If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?
Beyoncé. Her work ethic is so impressive. She is one of the most consistent, driven, versatile, focused, strongest and inspiring people to me. She is an example of staying power and re-marketing/branding yourself to listener train of thought. She is so invigorating and has empowered me so much. Most of the biggest decisions I have ever made have been done so by her music. Her strength, determination and grind make me feel like there is nothing that I can’t accomplish as the world is my oyster.

What is Chicago’s best-kept secret?
The city’s beauty and diversity. It is so overshadowed by the city’s violence. There are so many beautiful neighborhoods and landmarks. So much culture.

What do you love most about the industry?
Our ability to inspire and help people achieve the American dream. Our networking that enhances opportunities.

How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents?
I am my one true self. I market myself, network and my energy. The majority of my clients are drawn to my energy and my spirit. My desire is to genuinely help others. I don’t chase the money.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job?
Going into neighborhoods that I know are unsafe.

What’s your best advice for generating new leads?
Market, market and market. You may have to spend a little money to make money. Social media for me. Ninety-five percent of my leads come from social media.

What has been your greatest accomplishment?
Raising six beautiful children with my husband. Amazing God fear human beings.

What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to lately?
“Hamilton,” “Hamilton” and “Hamilton.” Musicals, “Dream Girls,” “Mama Mia” and “Hamilton!”

What’s your favorite meal in Chicago?
Italian Beef baptized, dipped with grilled onions and mozarella cheese.

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Chicago?
The Willis Tower. It so tall, strong and mighty. Beautiful inside and out. The city’s view from up top is amazing. The building is able to within the strongest gusts, winds, wear and tear.

What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job?
My client and I were caught in the middle of a shot out. We had to roll under a car and were terrified for our lives.

What’s one thing people are surprised to learn about you?
My age.

What is your favorite vacation spot and why?
Cancun. I love the vibe, weather and the amazing food.

Network, attend trainings, learn your craft, market yourself.
