What was your first job in the realty industry? Full-time Realtor for Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Buffalo Grove

Where did you grow up? I’m a North Side girl, raised in “Old” Irving Park on Keeler Ave. Attended St. Viator’s Elementary and Madonna High School. The Dugans owned the family home from 1912 to 1984.

Growing up, what did you want to be? In high school, I wanted to be an interior designer.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed? To relax, my favorite exercise is dancing. I also run two to three days a week.

If you could have lunch with a well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why? Katherine Hepburn, because she was so intelligent, confident and independent.

Where is your favorite place to hang out? I love to be around water — the ocean, lake, etc. My favorite place I have vacationed with my children has been Maine.

What do you love most about the industry? What I love about the real estate industry is that it’s truly a career for the entrepreneurial-minded. Success is possible with the right mindset and actions.

How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents? I work to distinguish myself by my professionalism, integrity, knowledge and follow-through.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job? Perhaps the most difficult aspect of my job, as well as the industry in general, is time management and life balance.

Where do you go to network and meet new clients? I’m involved in community organizations and like to volunteer.

What has been your greatest accomplishment? Hands down, my greatest accomplishment to date has been parenting my sons. The boys are the center of our universe.

What was the last good movie you saw or book you read? Love and Mercy.

What is your favorite restaurant? I have had many lovely dinners at Antico Posto in Oak Brook.

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Chicago? I think that the Chicago Cultural Center is beautiful.

What kind of car do you drive? I drive a 2015 Buick Verano in midnight blue.

Smartphone or paper? A smartphone is a must in real estate.

What is your favorite city after Chicago? Florence, Italy

In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry? New agents must practice scripts and dialogues, and then go talk to people daily.

What’s your favorite real estate iPhone/Android app? I’m enjoying the Homesnap Pro.
