What was your first job in the realty industry? I was a construction secretary for Concord Homes. They built my first home, and I loved the experience. The sales team won me over, and I knew I would be a better fit there. I knew it was a fantastic industry.
Where did you grow up? My very early years were spent in Florida, and my later years in Minnesota.
What do you do to relax when you’re stressed? I love to watch movies with my family.
Growing up, what did you want to be? An actress. I trained to be a Shakespearian actress in NY.
If you could have lunch with a well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why? Vince Vaughn – he seems like so much fun! And he married a real estate agent, so he must have some interest in our industry.
Where is your favorite place to hang out? My home, with family and friends.
What do you love most about the industry? The excitement of each day being so different, and the ability to get to play a huge part in making someone’s life better.
How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents? I try to listen and help first, and I think people know I care right from the start.
What is the most difficult aspect of your job? Not having control over other people’s situations, and sometimes their ability to buy.
Where do you go to network and meet new clients? School functions, or with sports families from my kids’ teams. They are great at referrals.
What has been your greatest accomplishment? My children, and teaching them to be good people. Also I am proud of my Award for Outstanding Performance in Sales and Customer Satisfaction in 2014.
What was the last good movie you saw or book you read? “How to Win Friends & Influence People”..it’s an oldie, but goodie. Also “Yes Please” by Amy Poehler
What is your favorite restaurant? Mandalie’s, a wonderful small local Italian restaurant
