Anne Hartnett, co-founder of Agent Publishing, has been nominated as one of Folio’s Top Women in Media.

Folio is a multi-channel resource for the magazine and online media industry that uses digital media, print and events to help media companies solve business challenges. The company produces an annual list of the most influential women in the media. These women lead the agenda for the industry and their companies through innovation, navigating media in new ways and guiding their businesses into new markets, and Anne Hartnett has been named to that prestigious list.

The list of top women in media is comprised of individuals chosen from submissions sent in by peers of the honorees, and celebrates the creativity and accomplishments of female colleagues.

“If we’re all ultimately measured by the impact we’ve had—the mark we leave, the positive changes we’ve effected—then our honorees should feel really proud indeed,” said Tony Silber, Folio:’s vice president of content.

The 2014 Top Women in Media list presents six categories, including corporate visionaries, industry leadership, director-level doers, entrepreneurs, rising stars and mentors. Hartnett is one honoree amongst 11 under the entrepreneur list. Other nominated and selected honorees for the Folio:’s Top Women in Media list can be found here.

Folio will host its awards luncheon and celebration for all honorees on Wednesday, Oct. 1 at The Grand Hyatt in New York City.

“I am honored to be among this prestigious group of women who are so influential,” Hartnett says. “I am proud Agent Publishing has been recognized among this group of media giants.”
