Coldwell Banker Gets Nearly 100 New Chicagoland Agents

by James F. McClister

In July, Realogy Holdings, one of the world’s leading real estate companies, acquired ZipRealty’s national operations for approximately $166 million. As a result of the sale, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, one of the many brokerage brands owned by Realogy, announced today that it would be expanding its Chicagoland operations, adding more than 90 former ZipRealty agents to its sales roster, including Scott Allgood, the company’s district broker.

Accompanying the news, Fran Broude, president of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Chicagoland, released a statement applauding the new team members and what the ZipRealty acquisition means for Coldwell Banker in the city.

“ZipRealty’s seamless digital platform that services both consumers and sales associates throughout the entire lifecycle of a real estate transaction greatly complements our own technology offerings,” she says. Broude adds that access to new resources will allow the brokerage to “exceed” client expectations and further generate viable business leads.

Realogy’s purchase of ZipRealty’s residential brokerage operation extends 19 different markets across the United States, which means more changes like this should be expected in the near future.
