A seven-bedroom French provincial home on Sheridan Road in Winnetka sold for $12.7 million last month, the highest-priced home sale in Chicago so far this year.
The 15,000-square-foot lakefront home was built in 2010, and has 137 feet of private Lake Michigan frontage, a wine cellar, outdoor pool with cabana, elevator, and “smart home” automation throughout.
The listing agent, Milena Birov of @properties said the sale closed on June 5, but declined to comment further. The home first hit the market last year with the asking price at $16.75 million.
The last time a Chicago home sold for more than $10 million was in 2007.
