Guaranteed Rate announced that iconic 1970s superstars, the Village People, have signed on to make the mortgage company’s third annual Disco Dash even more funkadelic by bringing down the house as the headliners of the 5K/10K race.

Whether you’re racing or just coming for the music, everyone can groove on the lakefront at Chicago’s biggest disco party on Thursday, June 27, at Soldier Field. Here’s the skinny on getting in: Runners and spectators can buy their respective bibs now at DiscoDashRace.com. Local disco cover band, The Shagadelics, will be rockin’ the event before the race begins, DJs will be spinnin’ disco beats on the course for those truckin’ along and the Village People will get their groove on post-race, starting at approximately 7:45 p.m. CDT.
The coolest part of the Guaranteed Rate Disco Dash is that the proceeds go to a Chicago nonprofit, The Peapod Project, which provides extensive resources to support families through the very difficult time of losing a child. Last year, the Disco Dash donated $10,000 to The Peapod Project. This year, help Guaranteed Rate raise way more moolah for the awesome organization, so come and join your fellow man, don your best ‘70s threads and get psyched, baby!
“As the largest mortgage company in Chicago and the eighth largest in the country, Guaranteed Rate is proud to host the third annual Disco Dash 5K and 10K race, bringing runners and spectators together to support a great charity, The Peapod Project,” said Victor Ciardelli, president and CEO of Guaranteed Rate. “With ‘70s icons, the Village People rockin’ out, the Disco Dash is sure to be the best party of the summer.”
