In another sign of continued recovery for the real estate sector in Chicago, RE/MAX Plaza has plans to open a new office in Woodstock, Illinois, according to a recent Chicago Tribune Article. RE/MAX already owns two offices in McHenry County, and with the new office in Woodstock, they will finally have an office in that region’s largest city.

Although a location has not yet been chosen, Rob Schaid, the managing broker, says that the office will open for business in six months. The other two offices are in McHenry City and Richmond.

“Woodstock is a great community in which to sell real estate, and RE/MAX already has a great market share there,” Schaid said. “By opening an office in Woodstock, we are showing our commitment to helping the residents of that community meet their real estate goals.”

Real Estate in Woodstock, along with neighboring parts of McHenry County is enjoying an active market. Houses are selling quickly and in sizable numbers. Schaid plans to open the new office with five brokers and steadily increase to at least double that quantity.

“Woodstock is definitely in full recovery mode right now,” Schaid said. “Activity has been strong there for some time, and we expect the Woodstock market to continue seeing steady growth. It’s one of the reasons why it’s so important for us to open an office there.”

Schaid began his career in 1999, taking over RE/MAX Plaza, which had been started by his father. He added the Richmond office in 2006, and added an office in neighboring Lake County in 2012.
