M/I Homes
Cheryl Bonk, vice president of sales and marketing for M/I Homes, finds the versatility of the company’s new communities coming out this year exciting. Three new communities include Sheffield Square in Orland Park, Easton Park in Carol Stream and The Orchards in Lombard.
Sheffield Square offers two different product lines: three-story townhomes ranging in size from 1,555 to 1,858 square feet and priced from $195,990 to $243,990; and traditional homes with a front load garage, standard basement, two to three bedrooms and two-and-a-half bathrooms that range from 1,672 to 2,110 square feet and are priced from $233,990 to $292,990.
Easton Park in Carol Stream consists of townhomes with three floor plans that range in size from 1,708 to 2,269 square feet and are priced from $199,990 to $249,990. The townhomes include two to three bedrooms and one-and-a-half to three bathrooms. The community is about 60 percent sold out, but Bonk stresses they still have plenty of beautiful homesites available.
“We pay a lot of attention to the size of the kitchens and windows, and we make sure the layout flows so that the townhomes feel more like a traditional home,” Bonk says.
For The Orchards, prices have not been established yet, but will probably fall in the mid-$200,000 range, Bonk says. Three floor plans will be available, ranging from 1,480 to 2,059 square feet. The townhomes – dubbed the Charlestown Series – include basements, two to three bedrooms and one-and-a-half to two and-a-half bathrooms.
