Where did you grow up? Rochester, Minnesota.
What is your favorite free-time activity? I love to have fun, and I have the most fun with my family! There are a lot of great things to do in Naperville, but we’ve made some of our best memories at home.
What do you do to relax when you’re stressed? Yoga.
If you weren’t a Realtor, what would you be? Psychologist. Now that I’m in real estate, I’m helping people, just in a different way.
Where is your favorite place to hang out? Downtown Naperville. There are so many great shops, restaurants, festivals and people. It has the feeling of downtown Chicago, only on a smaller scale and without the traffic.
What do you love most about the industry? The endless possibilities, but also the flexibility to juggle it with the needs of my family.
How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents? My clients know that I am available 24/7. Everyone has busy lives, and it’s critical that I respond to their needs as quickly as possible. It helps keep my business running smoothly, and they appreciate having their questions and concerns answered right away.
Where do you go to network and meet new clients? It’s all about social media and Generation Y. I think we’ll find that this group will be the buyers that kickstart the real estate market. They have money to spend and nothing to sell. This younger generation is tech-savvy, so it’s imperative for a real estate agent to be engaged in every level of social media, including Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare and LinkedIn.
What has been your greatest accomplishment? Hands down, my two girls. They are the light of my life!
What was the last good movie you saw or book you read? “Where You Left Me” by Jennifer Gardner Trulson. It’s an amazing story of unimaginable loss, resilience, friendship, love and healing.
What is your favorite restaurant? Hugo’s Frog Bar & Fish House in Naperville. I like that I can go there for a romantic dinner with my husband or just for fun with my girlfriends.
Smartphone or paper? My iPhone. I absolutely could not function without it.
What is your favorite city after Chicago? Las Vegas. Not only did I meet my husband of 13 years there, but I love the hustle and bustle of that city!
What’s your favorite real estate iPhone/Blackberry app? Scanner Pro. I can easily scan a document from my car and email it to the office or a client.
Who are your favorite people to follow on Twitter? @ChicagoBreaking, @InmanNews, @HGTV, NFL players from the Bears and Vikings and nearly every housewife from Bravo!
