Weichert, Realtors-McKee Remembers John C. Aiello

by Chicago Agent

John C. Aiello Sr., July 11, 1938-March 30, 2012

John C. Aiello, an agent with Weichert, Realtors-McKee, died friday March 30, at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge after a long battle with cancer.

Aiello had been a real estate agent for 50 years and he spent his last 30 years at Weichert, Realtors-McKee. Aiello won the company’s highest award for sales in 2009.

“Anyone who knew him knew that no matter what he was doing, he always ‘raised the dust’ He was loud and boisterous, and sometimes stuttered, but, oh, how he could sell,” said Bobbie O’Reilly, broker and owner of Weichert, Realtors-McKee.

O’Reilly also said that Aiello loved being in real estate, and he was passionate about putting the deal together. But the most important aspect in Aiello’s life was his relationship with his family and giving back to his community.

“His pride in his family was endless,” she said. “He spoke of his children and grandchildren often with the love and humor of a very involved parent. The lawyer, the doctor, the very successful businessman and the daughters who were the apples of his eye gave him great warmth and happiness. All the grandchildren were so important to John.”

Aiello, surrounded by family and close friends, was laid to rest on Tuesday, April 3, after a private ceremony.

“John touched many lives in his life, mine being only one of them. He will be missed by all of us,” said O’Reilly.

Thank you for your sincere and right-on sentiments about my brother. He often talked about you and the other realtors in the office that he loved so much. You, too, were his family. May the fond memories of John last a lifetime. This Easter Season we pray that John is with our resurrected Lord and Savior.
