by Chicago Agent

Nominations are being accepted for the Chicago Association of Realtors 2012 "Good Neighbor Awards."

Realtor Magazine’s Good Neighbor Awards recognizes Realtors who devote themselves to volunteer service and is currently accepting applications. This is the 13th annual Good Neighbor Awards, and the National Association of Realtors is looking for outstanding Realtors who not only help people buy and sell homes but also dedicate their time and effort to improving the quality of life in local communities.

Five winners will be chosen and each will receive a $10,000 grant for his or her charity. Winners will earn free travel expenses to the 2012 Realtors Conference and Expo in Orlando, where they will be recognized and their charity will receive media exposure.

Five honorable mentions will also each receive a $2,500 grant.

The awards are sponsored by Lowe’s and HouseLogic, so in addition to the grant money, each winner will receive a $2,000 Lowe’s gift card and each honorable mention will take home a $1,000 Lowe’s gift card.

Entries for this year’s Good Neighbor Awards must be received by Friday, May 18. For more details, check out the March/April issue of Realtor Magazine, call 800-874-6500 or visit REALTOR.org/gna.
