Many agents are fearful of blogging. Most do not believe they are the best writers so they don’t blog. This is a big mistake, since this is a great way to draw prospects to your website. In my recent blog, I received over 7,000 views in just two days! As the readers began to grow, I updated the blog to drive prospects to our website. It was also a great way to recruit, so I added a blog about real estate openings in our office. Many clicked on that blog once they finished reading the top story.
It is best to select a hot topic of the day and blog about it immediately! In doing this, I used key words that I was sure the average person would use, and guess what? It worked! By being one of the first to blog about a top Chicago DJ being fired, I jumped to the top of the google search, creating a surge of viewers to my blog. Try it, google Drex Fired, and see where I end up. It is amazing to see.
When I wrote the blog, I really did not expect the huge response, so it was really a short summary of the recent news. It took a very short time to write and I later added our website, and several actually checked it out. So if you want people to read your blog, it really is simple to do.
