Welcome to our first annual Year in Review issue. This brand-new, year-end issue of Chicago Agent magazine is designed to catch our readers up on everything that happened inside the industry (and outside) in 2009.
This was a whirlwind year, with new offices opening, old offices closing and agents and executives moving around — some more than others. We’re touching on everything that happened in 2009, including the good, the bad and the ugly. Much of the reports on individual brokerages, lenders and developers inside these pages came directly from the companies themselves, but we also added information from our readers and straight from the news headlines. Also, don’t miss our year-long timeline of newsworthy events from January to December. A lot has happened this year, and it can be hard to keep track of all the changes that can occur over 365 days.
