Baird & Warner CIO Elected MRED President

Baird & Warner Chief Information Officer was recently elected president of Midwest Real Estate Data LLC (MRED). This voluntary, unpaid position has Melidosian serving as the chief elected official for MRED, the largest MLS in Illinois and one of the largest in the nation, created by the merger of the Multiple Listing Service of Illinois Inc. (MLSNI) and the Multiple Listing Service of Mount Prospect, Arlington Heights, Palatine and Prospect Heights Inc. (MAP) in 2008.

“I’m appreciative of the confidences extended to me by the shareholders and board of managers of MRED,” says Melidosian. “I look forward to leading efforts to ensure that the 40,000-plus Midwest Real Estate Data real estate agents receive the best possible services available.”

Melidosian, a resident of Park Ridge, previously served as director and executive officer of MLSNI, where he worked to ensure the MLS was run with the best interests of its Realtor subscribers in mind. His initiatives focused on reducing costs to the Realtor while also upgrading to more reliable and responsive systems, providing the latest tools to both Realtor and consumer, and improving communication between the MLS and area associations and brokerages. Melidosian also serves as a director for the National Association of Realtors, while continuing to head up information technology for Baird & Warner.

“Charlie’s combination of technology and real estate industry expertise make him a great choice for this role,” says Steve Baird, president and CEO, Baird & Warner. “We are happy for him and for all of MRED’s Realtors, who will undoubtedly benefit from his stewardship.”
