Vol. 4, Issue 20, Agent Snapshot: Christopher Coleman

Christopher Coleman, President – The Dearborn-Buckingham Group, Inc.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in economics from Northwestern University

Work Experience:
Coleman started in the business in 1988 as a market analyst with local developer The Zale Group. At Zale, he was eventually promoted to sales and marketing manager. In the 1990s, Coleman worked in Orlando and Atlanta. In Orlando, he was division sales manager for Morrison Homes, the American nameplate of British building giant George Wimpey PLC (now Taylor Wimpey PLC). While in Atlanta, Coleman worked with John Wieland Homes, National Builder of the Year winner, as a regional sales and marketing manager. Coleman formed The Dearborn-Buckingham Group, Inc. in 1997.

Current Projects:
Buckingham Pointe – These 44 townhomes in Des Plaines are just off Touhy Avenue, between River Road and Manheim Road. There are two floor plans to choose from, both three-bedroom, two-and-one-half-bathroom, with full basements and two-car garages. The townhomes have convenient access to the Kennedy Expressway, I-294, Metra and Blue Line.

Buckingham Orchard – The 34 townhomes in Lombard located off old Route 53 between St. Charles Road and North Avenue offer four floor plans, including several dual master plans. Townhomes feature two to four bedrooms, two and one-half to three and one-half bathrooms, full basements and two-car garages. The property is 15 minutes from both Schaumburg and Oak Brook, and is served by Glen Ellyn schools.

Belden Place – These 90 townhomes in southeast Mundelein are located minutes from Hawthorn Mall. There are three “row style” plans to choose from, with two to three bedrooms, one and one-half to three and one-half bathrooms and two-car garages. This neighborhood has just opened for sales, and the information center is located at 724 S. Butterfield Plaza in Mundelein.

Recently Completed:
Wagner Estates in Glenview – This enclave of homes is directly across the street from historic Wagner Farm. The project is a Home Builders Association of Greater Chicago (HBAGC) Key Award winner for architectural design.

Buckingham Meadows in Lombard – This project is made up of 18 single-family homes less than a mile from Buckingham Orchard. This project was also an HBAGC Key Award winner for architectural design.

Community Involvement: Coleman and Dearborn-Buckingham actively support several charities, including HomeAid Chicago, the National MS Society, Smile Train, the USO and the American Cancer Society.

Interests/Activities:
Outside the office, Coleman enjoys spending time with his wife and three young children.
