Advised by his grandfather to go into real estate because of the unlimited earning potential, Michael Hall has since carved out a successful career in the industry over more than 30 years. Hall was teaching Spanish at the University of Michigan when he took a year off to start an art and framing business. It did well enough that he never went back to the classroom. Long before the workday begins and just before winding down at night, sitting at the piano provides a creative escape rooted in college music studies. Last year’s proudest moment involved him finally memorizing a difficult piece he’d worked at for months.
