With an entrepreneurial spirit and an aptitude for business that she inherited from her developer father, Judy Gibbons has been a staple in Chicago real estate for more than 20 years. Although she has a vast network of vendors and a reputation for problem-solving that has earned her the unofficial hashtag #justaskjudy, she says that something much more important sets her apart from the crowd.

“Ethics, plain and simple,” Gibbons explains. “Do unto others as you would have done to you. Relationships within the real estate industry are so important. Unfortunately, most agents fail to understand this.”

Gibbons, who was raised in Barrington, specializes in luxury, equestrian and waterfront properties in Chicago’s northwestern suburbs and Southwest Michigan, as well as Florida’s desirable Gulf Coast region known as 30A. “Getting my license in other areas where I own properties has helped me learn the nuances of real estate in Michigan and Florida,” she says. “It is also a good challenge to keep learning in this business.” As a real estate investor herself, she has walked miles in her clients’ shoes, whether they are buying or selling family homes, vacation homes or investment properties.

Visible across social media, Gibbons also appears on American Dream TV, a show that highlights real estate professionals in their communities. “It has been such a joy to work within my communities to help small businesses by having them appear in my segments,” she shares. “Also, homesellers love the idea of their homes being featured on an Emmy- and Telly-award-winning TV show.”
