As the leader of The Burhop Group at Baird & Warner’s northwest suburban office in Arlington Heights, Shaunna Burhop understands the importance of client care. “Building rapport is critical to our success,” she says. “We need to trust each other.”

Burhop officially established The Burhop Group in 2023, though the team had been operating informally for the past several years. Her team includes one full-time agent who handles listing preparation and staging, as well as four support staff professionals who take care of marketing, social media and transaction management.

The Burhop Group works with vetted experts who can help with everything from painting and handiwork, as well as downsizing resources for senior citizens. Burhop says these things go a long way in showing individual clients that they’re a top priority.

Burhop has been named one of Chicago Magazine’s Five Star Real Estate Professionals every year since 2011 and was named one of Crain’s Chicago Business Notable Residential Real Estate Brokers in 2021. She says patience and a genuine concern for others have been instrumental to her success.

“I really try to get to know my clients, what their goals are, and help them problem-solve and guide them along the way,” she says. “I focus on my clients first and want them to have the best experience and achieve success in what is important to them.”

A longtime Arlington Heights resident, Burhop is an active member of her community and is always looking for unique ways to give back to residents and local businesses. As a supporter of Partners for Our Communities, she sponsored a Mother’s Day event where children could “shop” for free to create a gift bag for their mom. “Seeing the pure joy on their faces reminded me that even small things can have a big impact,” she says.
