A people person who loves helping clients achieve their real estate goals, Naseem El-Barbarawi says the relationships he has made during his career have proven to be invaluable. The majority of his business is based on repeat and referral clients. “I have clients that have been using me for over 20 years now,” explains El-Barbarawi, a top-producing real estate advisor with Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty. “I am truly grateful for the trust and longstanding relationships I have made over the years.”
Recognized by the Chicago Association of Realtors as a multiyear Top Producer, El-Barbarawi has also achieved Platinum status for his sales achievement at his company. A Certified Luxury Home Specialist, Certified Relocation Specialist and Negotiation Specialist, he entered real estate after college based on a recommendation from his brother-in-law, who was an entrepreneur at the time. Real estate is the only career he has ever known. “He told me I would make a great broker,” El-Barbarawi recalls. “When I saw I can make a career built off relationships and helping others, I was immediately drawn to it.”
El-Barbarawi serves buyers, sellers and investors, from first-time to seasoned, in the city and suburbs. Born and raised on the northwest side of Chicago, he has sold properties in over 40 different neighborhoods in the Chicago metropolitan area and understands micro-markets. He sells wherever his clients are, makes difficult problems look easy to solve and has outstanding negotiation skills.
Calm and confident in his approach, El-Barbarawi makes each client feel like they are his only one. Upfront and honest, he has told many clients to walk away from a property that was just not right. In 2022, he sold a client’s home for $68,000 over the list price. They leased it back for 60 days at a reasonable price and then rented a property for six months until the market calmed down. The wait was worth it. They maximized profits on the sale and bought a beautiful home in Lake Forest at the right time—a phenomenal deal he expertly negotiated.
