The lending industry and Matt Paradis have great chemistry. For 37 years, he’s specialized in jumbo, first-time buyers, purchase, refinancing and renovation loans. His chemistry degree and analytical thinking help him see the customer’s financial situation and personal goals to find the best solution, he says.
Paradis has ranked in Scotsman Guide’s Top 1% Originator list for the last 12 years. However, he’s especially proud of the work he and his team did during the pandemic. “We were blessed with a huge increase in business,” he recalls. “We took that focus that helped us deliver in a difficult market and now use that hyper efficiency to arm our customer to the teeth to win when making an offer in this hyper-competitive market. We want our customer to get their dream home.”
When working with clients, Paradis’ practical approach of getting to know his clients and their goals for their next home enables him to take the stress out of the loan process. In addition, “Realtors refer us because they know we’re dependable and will deliver. They don’t have to follow up,” he shares, adding that he works hard “to find not just a solution, but the best solution.” Experience has also taught him the value of being a calming influence, and that’s why he’s risen to the top of his field. “After 37 years, I know how to be the calm person in the room and keep my customers’ goals at the forefront, whether it’s an easy transaction or if the market throws us challenges,” he explains.
The empathy he and his team display sets them apart from other lenders. “We want our customers to be happy with their homes and the monthly check they write for that home,” he says. “We never forget what it’s like to be the homebuyer and what a big decision people are asking us to help with.”
