Joel Schaub, Leader, The Joel Schaub Team

Vice President of Lending, Guaranteed Rate

Joel Schaub, leader of The Joel Schaub Team and vice president of lending at Guaranteed Rate, offers a personalized, white-glove mortgage service. With 16 years of experience, his team emphasizes speed, transparency and smooth service, likening it to a flight on a private jet.

Schaub’s passion for helping people find their dream homes was inspired by his aunt and uncle, who were Realtors. He aims to create a smooth environment for clients and educate them on the best financial choices for their lifestyles. Schaub works closely with his wife, Christine, to empower Realtors and help grow their businesses through personalized marketing plans, events and partnerships like the Keeping It Real podcast.

With over $1 billion in sales during his 20-year career, Schaub is a top figure in Chicago real estate. His accolades include ranking among Guaranteed Rate’s Top 10, being a finalist for Lender of the Year, and earning membership in the Chairman’s Circle and President’s Club. Schaub also raised over $20,000 for gun control advocacy after the mass shooting in Highland Park.

As a founding member of a Business Network International chapter, Schaub uses the Givers Gain philosophy to form reciprocal relationships with Realtors and the community. This approach has led to a 90% referral-based clientele. Schaub’s team also collaborates with Cubs Charities and volunteers at the Lakeview Pantry.

Outside of work, Schaub and his wife enjoy boating on Lake Michigan with their dog Louie, traveling to destinations like Costa Rica and supporting the Chicago Cubs as season-ticket holders.

Guaranteed Rate, Inc. is a private corporation organized under the laws of the state of Delaware. It has no affiliation with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the U.S. Department of Agriculture or any other government agency.
