After multiple leadership roles at Fortune 500 companies, Gyan Srivastava was drawn to the mortgage lending business due to his analytical mind, affinity for numbers and client-centricity. In the 14 years since he became a mortgage professional, Srivastava has made a distinguished name for himself with a wide network of clients and partners, glowing customer satisfaction reviews and industry recognition as one of the top mortgage originators in America.
“This job is truly my passion,” says Srivastava, who serves as a senior vice president of residential lending at Draper and Kramer Mortgage Corp.’s headquarters in Downers Grove. “It’s so rewarding when I’m able to help people achieve the American dream and get them financing for the home they love.” His career as a mortgage professional has been as successful as it has been fulfilling, with industry publications Scotsman Guide and Mortgage Executive Magazine ranking him among the top mortgage originators in the nation based on his closed loan volume.
Srivastava begins every mortgage transaction by learning the needs of his clients, explaining his recommended solutions and providing an education on the loan process. He works to ensure every deal closes quickly and smoothly by maintaining transparency and real-time communication. “I’m heavily involved in each transaction, from preapproval to closing and after,” he says. “I work extended hours so that my clients receive the great service they deserve.” In return, his clients have high praise for him, with Srivastava boasting a customer satisfaction rating of over 99% from post-closing surveys of his borrowers across the nation.
Higher interest rates and tighter home inventory over the past year have created challenges for the mortgage industry. Nonetheless, Srivastava remains dedicated to providing his clients with the expert advice, guidance and solutions they need to achieve their homeownership objectives. Looking ahead, he aims to continue to increase his client base in his 30 licensed states.
Outside of work, Srivastava enjoys listening to music, traveling to new countries, attending social events, giving back to his community and spending quality time with his family.
