Gerardo Tapia-Quiroz, Lead Broker, The Lewis Group Chicago

Dream Town Real Estate

Growing up in Evanston with a dad in the construction business, Gerardo Tapia-Quiroz has always been fascinated by Chicago real estate. “Living so close to the city allowed me to explore the different neighborhoods that make Chicago unique and one of the best cities in the U.S.,” he says. “One of my favorite things growing up was when my parents would take us downtown on the train.”

Now, eight years into his real estate career and mentored by team lead Danny Lewis, Quiroz handles all of the listings for The Lewis Group Chicago, which he joined in 2018. “Being in a top-producing team allows me to use the tools and knowledge I’ve learned from my mentor and apply them to my business on a daily basis,” he says.

The team concept was a factor in a recent victory: Quiroz and Lewis were able to get a very difficult sale to the finish line. “Our client struggled for over two years to sell her mixed-use property,” he remembers, “and Danny and I were able to get it sold.”

An important component of his marketing mix is social media, where he alternates business posts with a glimpse into his personal life to connect with current and future clients. “I love sharing impromptu content of what we Realtors do daily,” he remarks. “I also love sharing a bit about my own personal life, such as trips, family and my dogs. It gives people a chance to know the real you.”

One-on-one, Quiroz takes a personalized approach to his client relationships, adjusting to each client’s needs. As a result, clients know that he will go above and beyond for them. “I treat each and every client with respect and know that this is a lifetime connection with them. I want them to feel like family,” he shares.

Quiroz is driven to succeed but also believes strongly in making time to disconnect and recharge. He relies on working out and downtime with loved ones to maintain the balance.
