Developing a business mentality at a very young age, Cynthia Vargas remembers her older sister teaching her the importance of saving and finding creative ways to generate income. At age 13, she made and sold bracelets when visiting her sister at her college dorm, then started her first job at a pizzeria when she was 15. “My parents got divorced when I was 11, and my mother was a single parent raising four kids,” Vargas says. “I feel like I grew up faster than other kids my age. I opened an Edward Jones account when I was 16 and slowly invested my money on low-risk mutual funds.”
A broker with RE/MAX Next, Vargas purchased her first investment property at the age of 25. With a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in accounting, she was able to manage construction cost and ROI projections for her property. “I learned how to be diligent, how to manage a project and be a landlord. This experience taught me so much about my self and what I am capable of,” she says. Vargas has gained extensive experience that has allowed her to guide and empower clients as they start their home-buying journey.
Through networking, Vargas formed close ties with contractors, engineers, inspectors, lenders and lawyers, and began helping small businesses with their accounting services, which led to creating CKV Consulting LLC. With a decade of experience in the corporate world as a finance manger, she has developed a passion for financial modeling, project management and working with key stakeholders, which has enabled her to thrive in the real estate industry. Vargas takes pride in providing guidance and knowledge of the market to her clients and finds her work in real estate and finance to be a true blessing.
