Connie Barhorst, Real Estate Broker

Baird & Warner

Dedicated to forging meaningful relationships with her clients, Grayslake real estate broker Connie Barhorst explains that working with her is “like you are working with one of your close friends.” She says, “It’s a collaboration when you list your home with me or we go out ‘shopping’ for the perfect home. Communication is key.” Barhorst, who works with Baird & Warner, always stays accessible to clients, keeping her phone nearby and remaining prepared to answer any questions or jump into action. She shares that she’s had clients become worried if it takes her more than 10 minutes to respond and that she’s often asked if she ever sleeps. Her diligence pays off. “Some of my biggest achievements for the year include earning the top individual Grayslake Agent for the 1st half of 2023 and earning the 2023 Baird & Warner Listing Contest,” she notes.

Barhorst holds two staging certifications and owns a warehouse filled with supplies used to get homes ready for the market. She works with clients to pick paint colors, furniture and decor that highlight a home’s best qualities. She explains that in the age of social media, ensuring that a client’s home is picture-perfect has become more important than ever. “I also utilize social media platforms diligently to promote my listings,” she remarks. “The power of social media is a game changer in real estate.” With her extensive network of trusted contractors and service professionals, Barhorst also acts as a referral resource for her clients. She’s always ready with a recommendation for whatever her clients need, from plumbers and painters to movers and landscapers.

Barhorst and her husband have lived in Grayslake for over 22 years, raising four children and a few Golden Retrievers in the home they built in Prairie Crossing. She loves her family, sharing, “My children are my proudest personal accomplishments. They make me proud each and every day.”
