Dream Team brokers Andre T. Mitchell and D.J. Peoples have a combined 25 years of experience in real estate and a shared mission. “We both have a true passion to help others,” they say. “We saw a career in real estate as being our way to make an impact in the world.”
With a solid reputation in Bronzeville, Hyde Park, the south suburbs and the South Loop, Mitchell and Peoples have built enduring relationships within those communities. “Our business is not transactional; it’s relationship-based,” they say. “With every person we help, our goal is to act ethically and with the highest morals.”
Both Mitchell and Peoples grew up with entrepreneurs in their families, but neither realized their own business potential until later in life. A former college professor, Peoples bought and sold several homes out of necessity while traveling the world with her husband, a member of the U.S. Air Force. She became so familiar with the process that she often provided agents with sources to help them complete their transactions. Mitchell, who previously worked as the director of leasing and marketing for the largest building in Draper & Kramer’s property management portfolio, saw the value in helping others achieve homeownership and decided to do it for a living.
Mitchell and Peoples are top producers with the Chicago Association of Realtors, and consistently rank in the top 1% for production units in Baird & Warner’s South Loop office and among the top 1% companywide. The pair are also both members of the brokerage’s Founders Club and were previously honored by Chicago Agent Magazine for Best Team in the Agents’ Choice Awards.
As active mentors in their community, Mitchell and Peoples lead by example and encourage young people to explore careers based on their passions. In his downtime, Mitchell enjoys traveling abroad and exploring Chicago’s newest restaurants. Peoples loves traveling and spending time with her family.
In addition to their work as real estate brokers, Mitchell and Peoples are rehabbers and both have active rental portfolios.
