If you’re offered an opportunity to “try something fun,” say yes. Bored working as a bank teller, Tracy Sorge accepted the challenge of changing careers. Now celebrating 30 years in the mortgage industry, Sorges expertise ranges from first time home buyers to luxury buyers and everything in between. As a lender in all 50 states for existing and new construction, her passion for putting people in homes leads to her secondary passion of putting dogs in yards.
Marketing/sales and HR management courses gave Sorge insight into working with different personalities and taught her to seek out creative solutions to challenges. Doing business with her is a different experience for clients because she simplifies the process. Sorge explains “I simply get to know them, putting them first. Sorge is a member of the Mainstreet Organization of Realtors, the Chicago Association of REALTORS® and the Women’s Council of Realtors. She’s earned numerous professional accolades, including Wintrust’s Honor’s Circle, Presidents Circle, as well as Scotsman Guide’s Top Originator, and Top Woman Originator. The National Association of Minority Mortgage Bankers of America also awarded her Top Originator this past year. She also volunteers at Almost Home Foundation, a pet rescue shelter to help dogs find their homes, and is looking forward to celebrating numerous milestones this year. She and her husband both turn 50 and toast to their 30th wedding anniversary. Furthermore, their daughter graduated from Roosevelt University in Teaching and this December, their son turns 21.
