Introducing clients to the hidden gems of Chicago’s northwestern suburbs, Stacey Corcoran has an eye for a property’s potential. “My favorite part of the job is helping clients imagine what life would be like in each home we visit,” says Corcoran, a broker with Coldwell Bank Realty.
Corcoran works with a variety of buyers and sellers, from young professionals to downsizers to those seeking a vacation retreat. She strives “to make every client feel like my top priority and really get to know them from the very beginning.” Corcoran expresses her longtime passion for real estate through enthusiastic encounters with both clients and colleagues.
Growing up in Schaumburg, and having lived in both Mount Prospect and Arlington Heights, Corcoran shares that she feels “truly blessed to have called these towns my hometowns.” She and her husband also own a lake home in Northern Illinois, between Rockford and Galena, where she has found several clients weekend getaways of their own.
As a former certified shorthand court reporter, Corcoran thrives in high-stress environments. “I’d say that court reporting gave me this incredible gift of staying focused, working under pressure and managing the emotions that can arise in real estate transactions,” she recalls, adding that the years spent listening to testimony and personal experiences prepared her to effectively communicate with her clients. “Knowing how and when to disseminate information is just as important as the information itself.”
Over the course of her career, Corcoran has collected multiple sales-achievement awards and has obtained professional certifications like Pricing Strategy Advisor, Real Estate Negotiation Expert and Certified Staging Consultant. In 2021, Corcoran earned a place as one of the top 20 agents for volume in her office at Coldwell Banker.
In her free time, Corcoran can be found spending time outdoors, exploring neighborhoods on foot or floating in the lake.
