Buying a home changed Sharri Ptak’s life. “After I closed on my first home, I was fascinated with the mortgage process,” she recalls. “I decided to resign from my corporate marketing job and jump into doing mortgages full-time, and I’ve never looked back.” She specializes in residential conventional, jumbo, FHA and VA loans.
In 2021, purchase transactions made up 75% of Ptak’s business, and she was also ranked as a Scotsman Guide Top Originator. Her dedication has earned her the Chicago Five Star Mortgage Professional Award multiple years in a row for outstanding customer satisfaction. In addition, she made President’s Club at Proper Rate in 2020 and 2021.
Ptak strives to make business enjoyable. “I like to keep mortgages fun and easy, while making sure my clients and referral partners feel informed and educated throughout the process and beyond,” she states. Most of her clients come from repeat business, partner and client referrals, advertising, database management and social media. Because Ptak and her team work so closely with their clients, she finds that “they feel like they’re a part of our little family. They’re treated as VIPs and appreciate the comfortable feeling.” She also believes that communication is the secret to building strong relationships with clients and referral partners alike.
